Berkeley Springs & Potomac
Railroad

This BS&PRR bond vote approval song was written by railroad worker and published in the local paper.

Sung to the tune of "Swanee River"

All along the Warm Spring Mountain
Gladly we roam:
We're watching for the locomotive,
And for the railroad to come.
Oh the way looks bright and shining
Everywhere we go;
And kind people do not think we're joking,
For the voters tell us so.

All around among the Ungers
And the Dawsons too;
They each and all cought the fever,
For to push the railroad through.

And up and down the great Potomac,
And the B&O
There's where we find the voters waiting
To help the B.S. Railroad through.
From along the lines of good old Hampshire,
And on to Berkeley too,
There we find the voters ready waiting,
To help the B.S. Railroad through.

All around the country we have wandered
To talk to you;
Now on the 8th day of September,
What do you intend to do?
